I've always had a love for nature and the outdoors. Hiking, camping, canoeing....anything that gets me out into nature’s playground! Being in the forest, surrounded by trees and wildlife feeds my soul.

5 years ago I was introduced to foraging.

Learning to identify mushrooms in the wild sparked my curiosity, leading to my research into functional mushrooms and their myriad of benefits. I was delighted to learn that most of these amazing functional mushrooms grow right here in Canada; practically in my backyard, my happy place... the forest!

I was inspired to share these amazing mushrooms with people who can't get out to forage or don't know how to harvest them properly for themselves, but there was one problem. Most people don't like the "mushroom taste" and functional mushrooms are best consumed dried and uncooked to get the most out of the natural benefits. I thought my only option was grinding them up into a powder, putting them in big, hard-to-swallow capsules, and sharing them that way… but thankfully, I was wrong!

After years of trying (and failing 🤦) I met our Artisan Gummy Confectionist who, over the last 11 years, has been specializing in producing extracts and craft-infused edibles from scratch! He has won numerous awards for his tasty edibles (including a coveted Karma Cup 3rd place). His passion is to provide easy, delicious dosing options to the Edibles industry; so bringing those skills over to the Functional Mushroom space was a no-brainer, and a match made of "Mush Love ❤️"
